Step 1- Use iCall to make free five-minute phone calls to the United States and Canada. After five minutes, the call is disconnected, but you can immediately redial the number. Before calling, you have to install the free proprietary software to use the service. This software will display text advertisements and impose a 10-second voice advertisement before the call is completed. If you aren't sure whether to install the software, you can still use its Web-based service for placing free calls up to three minutes each. If you like the service and would like unrestricted use, which also includes better audio quality, then you can subscribe to the paid-for iCall Total Access.
Step 2- Visit EvaPhone for two daily VoIP calls for free. The free calls are limited to a certain duration, which is dependent on the calling location. After that time, you'll be disconnected. You are also presented with a short commercial before your call is connected. These free calls are a means to test the service before committing to its paid version.
Step 3- Access Skype, which is one of the largest VoIP providers. Using Skype is completely free when calling other Skype users. The service offers free video chatting to other Skype subscribers, as well. However, there is a charge for calling regular telephones or cell phones.
Step 4- Use Google Voice for free United States and Canadian calls, including video chatting. However, calling from North America to other countries will cost you money, but at competitive rates. You can access Google Voice through Gmail, iGoogle or orkut by installing the Google Voice browser plugin. Today-1
